I'm really not that good at writing so I'm gonna just jump into the story up until recently I had forgotten about my past experiences with sleep paralysis, but a recent case of sleep paralysis has resurfaced some of my memories as a child.
So when I was about 8 or 9 I remember waking up and not being able to move at all. Now I had no idea what sleep paralysis was, all I knew was that I couldn't move at all and there was a yellow orb floating in front of me. The orb kind of throbbed and kinda bounced up and down a bit, never staying quite still. Now unlike most cases of sleep paralysis I was completely calm if not happy. Whatever was in my room caused me to be the most calm and content that I ever have been in my life, even up to now. I remember trying to move my fingers up just a bit so I could touch it, but as soon as I was able to wrestle my finger up off my bed the sleep paralysis was over and with a blink the orb was gone.
And now fast forward to recently I woke up with the now familiar feeling of being completely paralyzed after just sitting there awaiting what might happen, not really focusing of breaking free of my own mind in my dazed state. Then something caught my eye, in the top right corner of my room the yellow orb from my childhood was sitting there, even though it had no eyes, I could tell it was looking at me.
The first thing I noticed was that this time I didn't feel calm, I felt more curious yet paranoid that something bad might happen. I tried to calm myself by thinking back on how this being had made me feel happy as a child, but to no avail. I was starting to get scared so I tried to break out of the paralysis with my usual technique; focusing with all my might on trying to lift my right pointer finger. As soon as I tried to do this I immediately felt the most scared I have ever felt except 10 times worse. Even if I wasn't paralyzed I wouldn't have been able to move I was so scared.
I looked in the corner to see if my former protector was there but what I found was the worst thing I've ever seen. I saw an abnormally tall (from what I could tell) gender less "being" standing in the corner where the orb once was. It was probably about 10 feet tall, it stood straight but it had to bend it's neck down to fit standing. It's body was pitch black except for its face. It's head was long and slender, almost like an almond, and in place for its eyes were just 2 circles darker than the rest of it's body.
It slowly started to inch towards me without moving, if that makes sense. It just kinda slid toward me. Once it started to get within reach of me I regained my senses and realized that this was bad, and I started to concentrate, as hard as I could with this terrifying thing coming towards me, on moving my finger to break out of the paralysis. Once it got within reach of me, it started to move its arm up towards my face, reaching his long pointed fingers towards me.
Now, somehow I knew that if this thing touched my face I would die, having this experience pass now I realize that sounds really stupid, but you tend to loose all reasoning when paralyzed and a 10 foot thing is coming to kill you. Once it's fingers were just inches away from my face I started to get cold, and the cold feeling on my face made me remember that I just had to wake up. And I closed my eyes and only focused on extending my finger just an inch. After what felt like years of trying, when in reality was only a few seconds, I was able to raise my finger up and snap out of it.
Like I said I'm not that good of a writer and I probably wasn't able to convey how truly terrifying this experience was. I couldn't sleep well for days after, and I sometimes still have trouble sleeping when I think about it. I used to be a total atheist, and not believe in ghosts and all that jazz, but now I don't know anymore.

I had the exact same experience with you when I was a kid. It caused me sleepless nights and thousand of courage to overcome those frighten feeling. Thanks for sharing your experience. You are a good writer as you describe your experience in a very detailed way. I think you should add more pictures and insert background on your blog. This will make your blog look more attracting.
